Abstract:

The COVID-19 pandemic introduced extraordinary challenges, affecting lifestyle choices and occupational stress levels across various professions. This descriptive study aimed to evaluate and contrast the Job Satisfaction and occupational stress levels of Physical Education Professionals and Non-Physical Education Professionals throughout this timeframe. A sample (300) of participants from both categories (150 each) was surveyed utilizing standardized tools (Questionnaire) to assess lifestyle habits and indicators of occupational stress.

The findings indicated that Physical Education professionals sustained relatively job satisfaction (Sig. 2-tailed -.000, mean difference 6.30667), exhibiting higher levels of physical activity and more effective stress management techniques, in comparison to Non- Physical Education professionals, who encountered considerable difficulties in preserving routines and managing stress. Nonetheless, both groups faced significant interruptions in Occupational balance (Sig. 2-tailed -.882, mean difference - .33333), with heightened anxiety and uncertainty regarding professional stability.

The findings indicate that individuals in the physical education field exhibit higher levels of job satisfaction in comparison to those outside the physical education sector. This study also suggests that the type of occupation may not play a significant role in influencing the perceived levels of occupational stress in the aforementioned two groups.
