Abstract:

India is preparing to host the Olympic Games 2036. The strategy on how to get kids into sports needs to become more considerate. The paper presents a simple process of identifying the right Olympic sport to take among the young Indian athletes (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, 2025) [9]. It examines three key variables. The former is concerned with physical and genetic traits that commonly occur amongst the Indian population. The second one examines the sports that are significant in the LA 2028 and the subsequent Olympic events (International Olympic Committee, 2024) [7]. The third one entails access, price, and competition rates within India. The paper recommends Smart Selection Matrix to increase the likelihood of winning by medals. This shifts the attention towards packed sporting events across the globe. It looks to technical events, weight-based events, and niche events in which the Indian athletes can compete in their own terms.
