This research aims to study the effectiveness of specific exercises in improving certain physiological variables and specific endurance in young basketball players, given the importance of these variables in enhancing physical and skill performance during competitions. An experimental approach was adopted due to its suitability for the nature of the research. A sample of young players was intentionally selected from the Al-Tadamon Sports Club and separated into two groups: one for the experiment that used specific exercises, and a control group that relied on traditional training methods. The specific exercises included a set of activities specifically designed to meet the requirements of basketball, in terms of intensity, duration, and type of movement. Pre- and post-tests were also conducted to measure physiological variables, such as aerobic capacity, pulse rate, and cardiorespiratory endurance, in addition to specific endurance tests. The researcher concluded that specific exercises proved effective in developing physiological variables (such as aerobic capacity, pulse rate, and cardiorespiratory endurance) in young basketball players. It recommends adopting specific exercises as an essential part of the training curriculum for basketball teams, especially youth teams, to develop specific endurance and physiological variables.
