Progress in achieving high performance in the shot put event depends on discovering theories and adopting modern scientific methods when applying them across the various aspects surrounding the sports training process. Through the researcher’s experience and observations of the reality of teaching in the university stage during physical education classes specifically in the execution of skills for different sports, which represents an important stage in motor learning it was noted that the shot put performance of female students does not develop significantly in line with the rapid advancements in the field. Moreover, difficulties in performance were observed, possibly due to several factors, including the lack of appropriate teaching methods. The method currently employed in teaching the shot put may not align with the needs and motor capabilities of the students, and therefore may not contribute effectively to the desired improvement in skill level.
Accordingly, the researcher proposed using skill-based exercises with the random method as a teaching approach aimed at involving all students in the performance process by moving them from one exercise to another, with each exercise containing more than one stage simultaneously. This study sought to determine whether these exercises, delivered through the random method, would have an impact on improving the shot put performance of female students and enhancing their achievement. The objectives of the research were:
The main conclusions were
While the exercises and method used by the instructor in the control group did produce a positive effect on acquiring technical performance and achieving the shot put, this effect was less significant compared to the skill-based exercises using the random method applied to the experimental group.
