Abstract:
The importance of this research lies in using EMS as a rehabilitation tool for hamstring injuries resulting from high-intensity exercises. The study aims to investigate the effect of EMS on certain physiological indicators related to hamstring injury rehabilitation and to evaluate its efficiency in accelerating the removal of fatigue by-products such as lactic acid and CK enzyme. This was achieved by designing a rehabilitation program targeting hamstring muscles using EMS. The experimental method was employed with two groups: A control group undergoing traditional rehabilitation and an experimental group undergoing rehabilitation with EMS sessions. A purposive sample of 20 male track and field athletes aged 20-30 years, who experienced mild to moderate hamstring strain after high-intensity training, was selected. After implementing the program and analyzing results, it was concluded that EMS contributes to accelerating physiological recovery by reducing CK levels, indicating improved muscle regeneration post-injury. The study recommends integrating EMS into physiological rehabilitation programs, particularly for hamstring strain among athletes.
