The research aimed to investigate the effect of the educational scaffolding strategy according to mental training on the performance level of some basic skills for students in football. The research problem lies in the observation by the researchers that curricula often lack effective activities in which the learner participates. Furthermore, it is difficult for the teacher to address each learner's needs personally, evaluate them, and listen to them, leading to a feeling of boredom for both teacher and learner due to information repetition. The research hypotheses posited significant differences in performance level between the two research groups in favor of students who learned using the educational scaffolding strategy according to mental training. The researchers employed the experimental method. The research sample consisted of 24 third-year students from the University of Babylon, divided into experimental and control groups. Data collection tools and methods were utilized, followed by statistical analysis using SPSS. The researchers concluded that the educational scaffolding strategy according to mental training has a positive effect on some basic skills under investigation. The most important recommendations included emphasizing the use of the educational scaffolding strategy according to mental training to improve the performance level of some basic skills for students in football.
