The effect of compound exercises accompanied by mental training on developing endurance ability and offensive speed in basketball for players aged (16-18) years

Abstract:

This paper's goal is to create complex exercises accompanied by mental training to develop endurance ability and offensive speed in basketball for players aged 16-18 years, and identify the effect of compound exercises accompanied by mental training on developing endurance ability and offensive speed in basketball for players aged 16-18 years. In accordance with the goals of the study, the researcher employed the experimental approach, which consists of two equal groups. The research population consisted of 12 basketball players from Al-Karkh Sports Club, aged (16-18) years. Two groups (experimental and control) of six players each were randomly selected from the population. Among the researcher's most significant findings is that: The effectiveness of compound exercises accompanied by mental training in developing endurance and quick offensive skills in basketball for players aged 16-18 years, and In basketball, there were statistically significant variations in the development of quick offensive abilities and endurance. Among the researchers' most crucial suggestions is the following: Stress should be placed on training the skills studied (various types of scoring, various types of passing, etc.
