However, with the increasing popularity of Zone 2, it's essential to critically examine its benefits and assess the role of heart rate monitoring in ensuring the effective application of this training. This paper explores the physiological advantages of Zone 2 cardio, the rise in its popularity, and how heart rate monitoring plays a crucial role in maintaining the intensity required to reap its benefits. Through a review of current research and practical applications, the paper will also address how Zone 2 fits into a balanced training regimen.
